Plans to Extend Brand beyond Popular Film, Cookbook

NEW YORK, N.Y. (May 11, 2015) - Charles Koppelman's C.A.K. Entertainment, Inc., aleading brand development and advisory firm, is pleased to announce that it hassigned Monet's Palate, Inc., as its newest client.

C.A.K. Entertainment will create and manage global brand development opportunitiesfor Aileen Bordman, Monet's Palate creator and president, as she branches into thehome and garden, lifestyle, entertainment and culinary markets.

There is a huge untapped opportunityto expand the brand into new areas in the food, home and lifestyle space,” saidKoppelman, the former CEO of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia (MSLO). Bordman said she hopes to bring the world of Monet - with its rich colors, scentsand light - to people in ways that are accessible.

"It is my mission to preserve the beauty of Claude Monet's world in the 21st Centuryand beyond,” Bordman said. "Clearly, the iconic Monet and I could not be in betterhands then at C.A.K. Entertainment with the myriad talents that Charles Koppelman,Stephanie Roberts and their amazing team possess.”

Bordman came to know Monet through extensive research into the famed Frenchimpressionist and by spending considerable time at the Musée Claude Monet atGiverny where her mother, Helen Rappel Bordman, helped restore his gardens inthe Normandy region of France, and has served as American representative inresidence since 1980.

On May 1, "Monet's Palate Cookbook: The Artist & His Kitchen Garden at Giverny,” hitbookstores. After literally bringing the artist's beloved 2.5-acre kitchen garden backto life, Bordman set out to produce detailed descriptions of the fresh fruits,vegetables and herbs Monet cultivated in his garden. The book also includes 60 newrecipes, along with images of the interior of Monet's house and his works of art. Bordman will kick off a book signing tour with a special event on Wednesday, May13, at Barnes and Noble, located at 82nd and Broadway, in New York City.

In addition, American Public Television will distribute a re-edited version ofBordman's critically acclaimed documentary film, "Monet's Palate - A GastronomicView from the Gardens of Giverny,” to 350 public television stations across the U.S. aspart of a special pledge drive package later this summer. Introduced by Academyaward-winning actress Meryl Streep and featuring famous chefs Daniel Boulud,Alice Waters and Michel Richard, the film takes viewers on a culinary tour ofMonet's home and gardens, drawing the connection between the iconic painter'sartistic talent and his passion for gardening and gourmet fare.

Koppelman achieved his business acumen largely in the music profession, where hebecame known as one of the industry's most insightful and successful leaders. HisNew York-based C.A.K. Entertainment handles marketing, brand development andadvisory work for artists and companies, including Marc Anthony, Jennifer Lopez,Adam Levine, Nicki Minaj and daytime talk show host Wendy Williams.

While serving as executive chairman and principal executive officer of MSLO,Koppelman met Stephanie Roberts, managing director of C.A.K. Entertainment.Roberts recently spearheaded the launch of a new fashion line for The WendyWilliams Collection on the Home Shopping Network (HSN).
